Bargain Books
The
books in these categories are in the $4 to $8 range or so. They are
books that we could not sell on other sites because of commissions,
closing costs, capped shipping charges on oversize or heavy books, etc.
On such sites after the commissions and closing costs are taken out
what we make on the book is so low that it's not worth our time to list
for sale on those sites. Hence those are books which in the past we
would store for possible future sale or just give away. With our own
website we can now list such books. Also, with bargain categories we
can list a lot more books. But there is a trade off for that. Our
bargain books will still be described but not in such great detail as
our regular books. That being said, even with our bargain descriptions
our books will still probably be described better than a lot of other
books that you've seen online. If you ever want more information on any
of our books please just email us. Also, when you browse our bargain
books you find that they are not mixed with our regular books. If you
want to look at, for example, astronomy books then you should look
under both the regular Astronomy and Bargain Books Astronomy
categories. As to shipping oversize or heavy books, shipping such books
cost so much that once again what's left after expenses is not worth
our time, or even worse if the shipping is more than the book
price/shipping reimbursement then we would lose both time and money
shipping it. This is especially true for international orders which are
too big or heavy for flat rate envelopes. And, of course, there are
times when we just want to find a good home for a book or just find the
book's subject so interesting that we have to sell it. |
