Refunds
We guarantee all our books which are as described in our listings. If you wish to return a book that is damaged in transit just notify us within 7 days of your receiving the book. We will refund what you paid and your shipping cost. If you order a book in error just notify us with 7 days of receiving it and return it in the same condition that we sent it and we will refund the book price only and you pay for shipping. We also ask is that you repackage the book the same way that we sent it.
Shipping
Barring rare extraordinary circumstances, we ship within two (2) business days. A lot of times we do it sooner.
Most books we sell are within a certain size/weight range and so we base our shipping rates on an average 2.2 pounds/1 kilogram book. Most will fit into flat rate Priority mail envelopes (both Domestic and International). Packing materials add to weight/shipping costs but are necessary to protect books in transit so that they arrive in the same condition that we mail them. Depending upon size/weight we may use padded or bubble mailers, packing peanuts, styrofoam, edge crush test (ECT) rated boxes, etc. to ship books. We place paperbacks between two pieces of cardboard as we want to protect them from bending in transit. We also put the books into plastic bags which we seal with scotch tape to keep them dry in transit. On top of the plastic bag we tape a packing list which shows the buyer's address just in case the book gets separated from its package.
U.S.
All domestic books include USPS delivery confirmation. Media Mail costs $4.00 99% of the time. Priority Mail costs $6.00 if the book(s) fit into a flat rate Priority Mail envelope. If a flat rate envelope can not be used then perhaps a flat rate box or larger can be used but the shipping cost will go up accordingly. If a book is big and heavy and subject to additional shipping charges it will be so noted at the end of a book's description.
International
Our preferred way of shipping a book internationally is in a Priority Mail Flat-Rate Envelope. Most books ship this way and the cost is $11.00 to Canada and Mexico and $12.50 to the rest of the world. For books that are too big to fit into a Priority Mail Flat-Rate Envelope and/or are over 4 pounds/1.82 kilograms the shipping rate varies by country/weight/mailing method. Once you get out of the flat rate envelopes the next cheapest is First-Class International Large Envelope/Package at $30.00. Such books subject to extra shipping charges will be so noted at the end of their description.
